Dua Qunut (Witr Prayer)

Pronunciation: Allah humma inna nasta-eenoka, wa nastaghfiruka, wa nu’minu bika, wa natawakkalu alaika, wa nusni alaikal khair, wa nashkuruka, wala nakfuruka, wa nakhla-oo, wa natruku mai yafjuruka,
Allah humma iyyaka na’budu, wa laka nusalli, wa nasjudu, wa ilaika nas aaa, wa nahfizu, wa narju rahma taka, wa nakhshaa azaabaka inna azaabaka bil kuffari mulhiq.

Translation: O Allah! We implore You for help, and beg forgiveness of You, and believe in You, and rely on You and extol You, and we are thankful to You, and are not ungrateful to You, and we alienate and forsake those who disobey You. O’ Allah! You alone do we worship, and for You do we pray and prostrate, and we betake to please You, and present ourselves for the service in Your cause, and we hope for Your mercy, and fear Your chastisement. Undoubtedly, Your torment is going to overtake infidels O Allah!

 

Dua for the Dead

Pronunciation: Allahummaghfir lihaiyina wa maiyitina, wa shahidina wa gha’ibina, wa saghirina wa kabirina, wa dhakarina wa unthana. Allahumma man ahyaitahu minna faahyihi ‘alal-Islam, wa man tawaffaytahu minna fa tawaffahu ‘alal- iman. Allahumma la tahrimna ajrahu wa la tudillana ba’dah.

Translation:  O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, those who are present and those who are absent, our young and our old, our males and our females. O Allah, whomever of us You cause to live, let him live in Islam, and whomever of us You cause to die, let him die in (a state of) faith. O Allah, do not deprive us of his reward, and do not let us go astray after him.

 

 

Kalma

 

Tayyibah – 1st Kalma

Pronunciation: Laa-ilaaha illallahu Muhamma-dur-Rasu-lululah.

Translation: There is none worth of worship except Allah. Muhammad (saw) is the messenger of Allah.

 

Shahaadah – 2nd Kalma

Pronunciation: Ashhadu Allah-ilaaha illallaahu-wahdahoo-laa shareeka lahu wa-ashhadu anna-Muhammadan -Abduhoowa-Rasooluhu.

Meaning: I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and He is one and has no partner. I also testify that          Muhammad (saw) is His worshiper and messenger.

 

Tamjeed – 3rd Kalma

Pronunciation: Subhanallahe Wal Hamdulillahe Wa Laa ilaha illal Laho Wallahooakbar. Wala Haola Wala Quwwata illa billahil AliYil Azeem.

Meaning: The word of Glorification (Tamjeed ) Glory (is for) Allah. And all praises for Allah. And (there is) none worthy of worship except Allah. And Allah is the Greatest. And (there is) no power and no strength except from Allah, the Most High, the Most Great.

 

Tauheed – 4th Kalma
Pronunciation:
Laa ilaha illal Lahoo Wahdahoo Laa Shareekalahoo Lahul Mulko Walahul Hamdo Yuhee Wa Yumeeto

Wa Hoa Haiy Yul La Yamooto Abadan Abada Zul Jalal Lay Wal Ikraam Beyadihil Khair. Wa hoa Ala Kulli Shai In Qadeer.

Meaning: The word of Oneness (Tawheed)

(There is) none worthy of worship except Allah. He is only One. (There is) no partners for Him. For Him (is) the Kingdom. And for Him (is) the Praise. He gives life and acuses death. And He (is) Alive. He will not die, never, ever. Possessor of Majesty and Reverence. In His hand (is) the goodness. And He (is) the goodness. And He (is) on everything powerful.

 

Imman-E-Mujmal

Pronunciation: Aamantu billaahi kamaa huwa Biasmaaihi wa sifaatihi. Wa qabiltu Jamee’a Ahkaamihi wa Arkaanih.

Meaning: I believe in Allah as He is, with His all names and attributes and I accept all His commands and rules.

 

Imaan-E-Mufassal

Pronunciation: Aamantu billaahi wa malaaikatihi Wa kutubihee wa rusulihi wal yawmil aakhire Wal qadri khairihe Wa sharrihee minal laahi ta’alaa Wal ba’dal mawt.

Meaning: I believe in Allah and His angels, His books and His messengers and in the last day (day of judgment) and in Taqdeer (happened) the good there of and the bad there of which is from Allah and resurrection after death.
